1971年生的王风华毕业于西安美术学院的油画系, 现任西安美术学院的教师。撇开其生长环境西安当中的众多的元素不去碰触,王风华不企图从历史元素中去做还魂动作,独独选择建筑物来作为切入点,用意其实就在于他渴望透过现代的东西来为历史做引流,而建筑物是现代生活极为指标性象征物;是地表最能被一眼洞穿的凸出物,不断翻新也不断被赋予新的样貌与材料的实验。
王风华艺术里面,最重要的一环应该是来自他的「隐喻性因素」。写实主义的创作体系,多数企图从眼观来为情感找个出口,鲜少借用到象征主义的精神意涵。王风华的架上作品中常出现的元素之一,是折射出他在心境上隐喻性的建筑物与方格。在王风华的作品底层,大量采取了隐喻性象征手法来传述自己内心的社会观感,这也等于说;它并非透过写实主义的绘画型式来渲染情感的内力,而是去隐藏一股壮阔的后续力。
 
Wang Fenghua was born in 1971 and graduated from the Oil Painting Department of Xian Academy of Fine Arts. He is now working as a professor in Xian Academy of Fine Arts. Despite many of the elements of Xian history, he did not attempt to resurrect elements from history; instead he selected architectural buildings as an entry point. His desire was actually to use modern things as a lead to history, and architectural buildings as indicative symbols of modern life. Buildings are protruding objects that can be seen immediately on the surface of the earth, and are experiments constantly renovated and given new appearances and materials
In Wang Fenghua’s art, metaphor of history is what runs through his creations. In the realism creation system, most try to find an exit for emotions from what they see, instead of express feelings by symbolism. One element appears in Wang Fenghua’s work is a refraction of how the architectural buildings and squares meant in his heart metaphorically. Deep in Wang Fenghua’s work, he selected metaphorical symbolism to express his point of view of culture, in another words, Wang Fenghua did not select Realism as a painting style to embellish emotions but to hide a strong continuing force.
