　　这是一段由艾未未制作，有关他策划的《童话》的录像。《童话是他在2007年为第十二届艺术文件展所作的贡献。在这个盛会中，1001个中国人接受邀请到德国去经历他们自己为期28天的童话。为实现这计划，在组织及个人意愿上都需要付出极大的努力才能面对挑战。录像里呈现了整个进展过程及艺术家创作背后的理念。20位制片人组成的制片小组共同合作了一年多才完成。本录像应该被视为《童话》方案的一部分。

　　The movie is a documentation by artist Ai Weiwei about his project “Fairytale”. “Fairytale” is his contribution to the art exhibition documenta 12 in 2007. On the occasion, 1001 Chinese citizens were invited to Germany to experience their ownfairytale for 28 days. The realization of the project required a tremendous effort in terms of organization and willingness of the individuals to face the challenge. The movie documents the whole progress as well as the ideas of the artist behind the work. A team of twenty filmmakers was working on this movie for over one year. The movie itself should be understood as a part of the project “Fairytale”.

　　本纪录片“舞台上的画展”纪录了2008年夏小万特别为导演田沁鑫的话剧“明”制作的大篇幅画作的过程(2008，北京中国国家大剧院)。历时半年多，这些令人浮想连篇的山水作品展现在160多幅聚酯画卷上，用作舞台上供演员们行走在其间的移动式三维布景。

　　Description:

　　The documentary video “The Exhibition on the Stage” records the making of the (spatial) three-dimensional painting that Xia Xiaowan specifically executed for the play “Ming” - directed by Tian Qixin (2008, National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing). A work that took over six months to realize, displays the suggestive landscape painting stretching over 160 polyester scrolls that serves as a 3-dimensional mobile stage set for the actors of this play.

　　This documentary film will be screened on the occasion of Xia Xiaowan’s’s solo exhibition “Xia Xiaowan – Three Dimensional” at Galerie Urs Meile, Beijing-Lucerne, Lucerne, Switzerland, from May 09 – July 24, 2010.
